Description
Colorize it is an Android app in the photo editors category that turns black-and-white and faded photographs into full-color images using neural network algorithms. It's designed for those who want to bring old family archives, sepia-toned photos to life, or simply experiment with the colorization effect. The result turns out quite convincing: tones are selected automatically, without manually coloring in every detail.
Features of Colorize it
The key advantage of the app is cloud-based processing: the photo is sent to a server, where AI analyzes the contents of the frame and picks colors based on the context of the image. This allows for a more natural result than local processing on a weak device would. After automatic colorization, the user can manually adjust saturation, contrast, and RGB balance - so that the photo looks vivid rather than artificially tinted. Important: photos are not stored on the servers and are not shared with third parties. A version with a mod is available - Unlocked, which unlocks extended functionality without additional purchases.
Editor capabilities
You can work both with existing photos from the gallery and with new photos taken directly through the app. The program handles fully black-and-white shots, partially faded images, and sepia-toned photographs. After colorization, the built-in editor allows you to fine-tune the final look: adjust RGB channels individually, increase or decrease saturation, work with contrast - all available in a single interface without the need to switch to third-party tools. An active internet connection is required for the app to work.
Who Colorize it is for
The app will be of interest primarily to those who work with old archival photographs - family photos from the Soviet era, military portraits, or old-time portraits. It will also suit those who simply want to experiment with the colorization effect on ordinary photos. Users looking for a full-fledged professional editor with layer-by-layer work and manual control over every pixel may find the app's capabilities insufficient.
You can download Colorize it for Android as an APK file - including the version with the Unlocked mod, which unlocks all features without restrictions. The download is free, and installation takes a minute. Try bringing old photos to life right now.
