Description

If you're looking for a shooter-platformer on Android where there's no time to be bored, check out Cookies Must Die. It was made by the creators of Dragon Hills and Daddy Was A Thief, and in 2020 the project won the Google Indie Games Festival. You'll play as Jack. This secret agent received special abilities from government scientists and now must defeat an army of mutant cookies and their powerful bosses. Fail, and the sweet invaders will wipe the city off the face of the earth.

How Cookies Must Die plays

Just swipe your finger across the screen to make Jack jump or dash sideways. There's no other complexity to the controls. You'll figure it out in a couple of minutes, but the path to truly confident play is much longer. You can't stand still here: you dodge, seize the moment, and strike. Jelly cookies, chocolate candies, and other dangerous "sweets" crawl in from everywhere. Hesitate even a little — and that's it.

What sets it apart from other platformers

The game's trump card is time slowdown. At the most intense moment, the world around Jack almost stops, and you can take calm aim, just like in scenes from "The Matrix." This mechanic is the backbone of the battles with huge bosses. Reflexes alone won't win against them. Victory comes from well-thought-out moves and skillfully chosen abilities.

Upgrades and competition

Characters and weapons can be upgraded, and the further you progress, the more explosive boosts become available. The leaderboard shows which of your friends plays better, and achievements are also present. You don't need to pay for the game itself. There are in-app purchases for real money inside, but they can easily be disabled in the device settings. Do you love short intense battles and an unusual setting? Then it's worth to download Cookies Must Die on android. Install the latest APK version for free and help Jack prove: cookies must die, even the sweetest ones.
