Antumbra is the unofficial port of the legendary game Penumbra: Dead Man's Diaries. A first-person horror quest that tells the spooky story of Philip, who goes to Greenland to find the place that was mentioned in his father's notes. You will have to go down deep into the mines, into a complex that is known by the codename "The Hideout". This place was built by a very strange organization that pursued ancient knowledge. The protagonist has to find out what happened in this abandoned place, what kind of virus inhabits it and why all the people disappeared. During the whole game you will find the left notes, that can help to unravel this terrible mystery. The gameplay is quite similar to the original game. Dozens of gloomy locations soaked in fear and horror are waiting for you. You must use your wits and wits to get out of the locked areas and move along the endless mazes. The puzzles look more complicated, and to solve them you'll have to use all the handy items found in the room. You'll be able to open cabinet doors, unscrew and screw valves, pick up and throw objects, tools and other objects. Unlike the first part, this time we won't have to fight monsters. The developers have made it so that players must apply logic and approach problems in an unconventional way, hide, run away, but by no means engage in combat. The game has two modes: the first person mode, which allows you to explore the locations and interactive mode, which allows you to study individual areas and items on the location. All selected items are stored in the inventory, from where you can get them to use immediately. Saving is done automatically when you reach the control points. There are no problems with the control, it is adapted for touch devices: virtual joystick, swipes and double clicks, imitating a mouse click.
