Description Changelog

Description

Project Sekai is a rhythm game for Android, developed jointly by SEGA and Colorful Palette, in which music becomes the foundation of the gameplay. The project brings together hundreds of tracks from famous vocaloid authors, live online performances, and well-developed characters with their own stories. The game is designed for those who follow vocaloid culture, love rhythm games, and want something more than just tapping notes in time with the music.

Features of Project Sekai

The game's music library covers a wide range: from classics like «Tell Your World» and «phony» to current tracks by DECO*27, wowaka, and Ryo. Tracks are accompanied by full-fledged 3DMVs - three-dimensional music videos that play right during gameplay. This clearly sets Project Sekai apart from other genre representatives, where the visual component is usually reduced to a static background.

As for the characters, the game features 20 heroes, including Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, and Kagamine Len. Each character is embedded in a separate storyline unfolding simultaneously in the real world and in a special virtual space - «Sekai».

Modes and Features

It's worth mentioning separately the online mode for collaborative performances: players from different regions gather on a single virtual stage and go through tracks together in real time. This mode includes avatar customization - changing costumes and accessories, including a flashlight that can be used to «support» the performers. The progression system allows you to gradually unlock new songs, character cards, and visual elements without forced purchases at the start.

Who Project Sekai is For

The game will resonate with vocaloid fans and those who have long followed Hatsune Miku's work. It will also be interesting to players familiar with other rhythm games - such as BanG Dream! or Love Live! - and ready for a similar format with an emphasis on story and card collecting. Those looking exclusively for hardcore gameplay without a narrative may find the project overloaded with visual novel elements.

You can download Project Sekai on Android as an APK file - installation does not require access to Google Play. The game is distributed for free, most of the content is available without spending, although a gacha system is present. If you've long wanted to try the rhythm game genre with strong musical and visual accompaniment - this is a good moment to download and check it out for yourself.

What's new

Version 6.8.1 fixed two bugs: a character no longer spins when you try to talk to them while they are sitting on a chair in Mysekai mode, and an issue has been fixed where, under certain conditions, it was impossible to select a song's difficulty level in co-op performances. Update 6.8.0 added support for the final chapter of the World Link event, along with a number of minor tweaks and stability fixes.
